Borstahusen.
A fishing hamlet going back to the eighteenth century. Today the old houses, along with the coast and the huts in the harbour, stand as a reminder of the history of this part of Landskrona. The harbour is encircled by a long pier with a lighthouse at the outermost tip. The pier is a popular place for sunbathing and swimming in the summer months. Early in the spring, anglers try their luck when the garfish pass through the Sound.

Although the majority of the boats are pleasure boats, people think of professional fishermen when they hear the name Borstahusen. A handful of fishing boats, nets being dried and mended, cats on the lookout for fish to eat, seagulls faithfully following the boats in towards land in the early morning – these are clear signs. You can buy delicious sea food in the fish shop in the harbour or enjoy it in the restaurant with a view over the sea and Ven. The fishing hamlet is still alive.

Borstahusen also has Pumphuset. This is a newly built culture centre in the harbour. Here you can dine on good food in a cosy restaurant and visit the art gallery with its interesting exhibitions and the museum which tells of the history of the fishing hamlet.

The Nordic Week is a sailing event held each year by the Borstahusen Sailing Club. Among the competing classes there is often some championship at European level.
